American Beauty: American Classic
This film is a Must See for all moviegoers. Director Sam Mendes has created the perfect mix of humor, drama and visual superiority in this complex and highly entertaining cinematic masterpiece. The film is entertaining and engaging a rare combination in film these days. The ensemble cast delivers rich and thought-provoking portrayals of characters who are realistically flawed and genuinely endearing. This ‘suburban’ comedy conveys a hyper-realism that will simultaneously deliver a dose of unnerving irony and cathartic hope. This film is unapologetic in it’s questioning of societal norms and as a result garners a 5 out of 5 stars.
